Dynamic Optimization of Bearingless Helicopter Rotors
The paper outlines a beam non linear formulation capable of describing the three dimensional behaviours of composite blades and usable in an optimization system. The response couplings are all taken into account by the method used to characterize the beam cross section. Such a linear constitutive law represents the starting point for an updated Lagrangian formulation of the beam elastic problem...
متن کاملTWENTY FIFTH EUROPEAN ROTORCRAFT FORUM Paper no. C13 ACTIVE SUPPRESSION OF STALL ON HELICOPTER ROTORS BY
This paper describes the numerical analysis of a stall suppression system for helicopter rotors. The analysis employs a finite element method and includes advanced dynamic stall and vortex wake models. The stall suppression system is based on a transfer function matrix approach and uses blade root actuation to suppress stall directly. The rotor model used in this investigation is the UH-60A rot...
متن کاملFour Rotors Helicopter Yaw and Altitude Stabilization
In this paper an appropriate four rotors helicopter nonlinear dynamic model for identi cation and control law synthesis is obtained via modelization procedure where several phenomena are included like gyroscopic effects and aerodynamic friction. The numerical simulations of the model obtained show that the control law stabilizes the four rotors helicopter with good tracking.
متن کاملAssessment of Comprehensive Analysis Calculation of Airloads on Helicopter Rotors
Blade section normal force and pitching moment were investigated for six rotors operating at transition and high speeds: H-34 in flight and wind tunnel, SA 330 (research Puma), SA 349/2, UH-60A full-scale and BO105 model (HART-I). The measured data from flight and wind tunnel tests were compared with calculations obtained using the comprehensive analysis CAMRAD II. The calculations were made us...
متن کاملPlunging Airfoil Load Characteristics Equipped with Gurney Flap
Numerous experiments have been conducted on plunging Eppler 361 airfoil in a subsonic wind tunnel. The experimental tests involved measuring the surface pressure distribution over the airfoil at Re=1.5×105. The airfoil was equipped with Gurney flap(heights of 2.6, 3.3 and 5% chord) and plunged at 6cm amplitude. The unsteady aerodynamic loads were calculated from the surface pressure measurement...
